Cheap FHC for someone ?

I owned this car up until Sept 2005, put it through two MOTs, and had a lot of work done on it at RT Racing.

It looks like it might be going cheap.
Definately worth a look if the price stays low.

Oops, highest bid so far... what I have I gone and done.... should have at least checked that paint isnt as pink as it looks !

Actually she did have a lovely shine, and I'd just had the wheels re-furbed.
Just the carpets a bit tatty then, but woodwork A1. Chassis fine too.
(I should be getting commission on this. )

Hi Graham, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it if I win it... but I've always like the FHC..
Was the chassis ok ? Current owner says "good condition for year"...
What am I doing.... I've already got too many old cars lying around, apparently ..

I'd hate to see it go to waste - far too good, and only chassis no10, supposedly ex-factory demo car.
It's only done about three thousand miles (Jan 05) since I took it to RT Racing, and he gave it a good lookover and fixed whatever needed fixing.
It's got redline adjustables all round with new springs with adjustable seats.

Brakes were excellent.

Engine (to me) a bit gutless that's all, but I had a new clutch fitted, which was engine out job.
I was going to put a Cossie V6 in, then bought a 390 anyway.

I'm tempted to buy the bloody thing back myself, as it's such a gorgeous looker.

It's just not fair. If my situation was a lot better and I could afford to run two cars, I would seriously consider bidding on it. Unfortunately though that's just not going to happen

Not 'suposedly', it WAS the factory demo car. When I first mentioned it on the 'net (it turned up around here when I also had a red S1, people thought that one ws mine) I had a phone call from John Mlecek (sp) who worked on it when it was new. Eventually it was left lying around the factory having bits robbed for other cars until one day Peter Wheeler stonked about with a fag on and ordered it to be completed and sold. That's why it's a Series 1 on an A plate with the cross-spoke wheels. Wheeler himself drove chassis 14 that hasn't been heard of for years.

Mostly the price. I'd merely go at the idea of a handbrake working...
