TVRNUTs old Tasmin 280i update part 2:
So far we have managed to get the car going, through it's MOT and given her a full spruce up, unfortunately we have had little time to devote to the car to fully check, so I decided to take the Tas out for a run in case of other issues - unfortunately during the roadtest the car conked out, it felt like fuel starvation and given the fuel gauge doesn't work (rarity that) a gallon of fuel was needed to check - I was given a lift to a petrol station by a young blonde lady came who came to my rescue (it's not all bad breaking down
) having put in more juice the car was going again but not for long, back to the drawing board unfortunately... hopefully we can now get her to move as well as she looks.... update 3 to follow...

I forgot to tell you about the fuel gauge - sorry
It was working, but when the new fuel tanks were put in, it stopped working. It maybe because the fuel sender didn't like the move to it's new home. After all, it was 25 years old at the time...

My 280i used to conk out occassionally, until I rewired the entire fusebox. On mine it was power to the fuel pump, through various rusty connections. The car would run for about 30 seconds with the fuel pump turned off due to the fuel accumulator, so it is quite difficult to trace.

The hanbrake is like that though because that's what TVR fitted as standard on the early wedges. I am not sure when they changed over to the standard type of handbrake...
