electric window motors tvr 350i

any of you pistons clanging nuts know where and what are the window mechanisms on a 84 350i.
any one had other electric probs and any tips.
my electrics are shocking.
not working:-
temp gauge (not sensor)
electric windows
electric mirrors
front and rear fogs
one headlamps stays up longer
clock
milega goes round but speed arm no move
interior lights
fuel gauge

no problem will keep me busy till 2009 me thinks
please help.

I did strip the window motors down once and got them working for a while. But found it easier to press then into position when they failed again. As I do now.

Bizarrely, and of complete irrelevance, the Esprit uses the huge Jag XJ6 window motors. Lotus took this fine piece of electrical engineering and made it work like TVR did the Rover item which is to say, pants.
But then, a length of bell-wire running halfway round the car is a way to guarantee that 90% of the supplied voltage never meets the motors...

Put my motor on the bench with a supply and the detent for the ratchet was slack. Stroked it back and it fine for a week then it went south. Took it apart again and it was slack again, must be special rubber steel.
