Suspension question folks

I need it stiffer chaps.

I'm not happy with the way it goes round corners. The set up I have is fine, no leaks or knocks but it really is awful around corners, my old 944 was far better, and that was on standard porsche sports suspension. That, obviously can't happen so what have other wedgers done to theirs?

I'm thinking a set of bilsteins with suitable springs, or are wedges better with other things. That is after I've sorted the steering.

Interested to hear what others have done.

Typically Bilsteins setup very soft springs and very stiff dampers, which means going round a long corner you'll feel the car gradually falling over.

There's a number of options that will do a better job IMO, Gaz, Protec, Nitron etc depending on how much cash you have, be careful with coil overs at the front though, they have a habit of punching a hole through the bottom of the wishbone!

Just fitted pro-tech shocks and springs from RT racing, very happy with them, took a while to get the rear coil overs set up though. Highly recommended them.

My wedge corners much better with a bunch of tools in the boot, almost as good as a transaxled car...

I tried that with a bag of cement in my old 325i sport, great until cornering g forces make it move...

What about tyres - what do you use, how old are they, etc?

Plus - what gear are you in - maybe you aren't getting enough oversteer?
