Is my wedge the only bare knuckle fighter

Ran the tank nearly dry. Thought ohh ill treat her with optimax ,now shes running like a whore without payment, just proves the point treat her mean keep her keen.

Cant work it out any ideas on this subject

Yeah the supercharged wedge has got an effective compression ratio of about 12:1 so it's very sensitive to octane. The Tesco stuff seems pretty good.

I had the very same problem last year. If you had her ignition timing set up for standard 95ron unleaded, you need to alter the timing for higher octane (98ron optimax or 99ron Tesco rocket fuel).

If you have a copy of the Steve Heath bible, look at pages 28-29, alternativly wait until someone else answers.

I don't think the problem is the fuel..

My guess and it's happened to me is that because you have run it dry - you have some rubbish from the tank in the EFI system.

I would - change the fuel filter then get some 'super' injector cleaner.

There are some that 1/2 a bottle is added to a tank full.

It's worked for me before - so good luck
