Oil Pipe

Hi Guys

Introduced myself on here 2 months ago, now I need your help. Today have replaced exhaust manifold gaskets and changed gearbox oil (gearshift much better). I have noticed that the oil pipe from external oil filter to engine is weeping slightly at engine end, the nut is tight but it is coming from the swivel joint. Phoned Chris Neil in Northwich who have not got any in stock, but he told me to go to a Landrover dealer who might be able to help. Can anyone help me in trying to obtain this pipe.

I think you'll find it's just a couple of bog-standard 1/2" BSP right-angle couplings, crimped to a random length of hydraulic hose. If your pockets are deep enough, take it off and show it to your local Pirtek branch who'll match it on the spot.

Have got hydraulic pipe specialist near where I live. Never thought of trying them. When you say deep pockets - cannot be that expensive - can it !!!!! Thanks for help

I use pirtek quite a bit, it's not pocket money, but thats life, in March I got custom hoses made up for the oil cooler and PAS on my racer; 3 hoses made up with fittings, fire resistant heat shielding etc etc and a couple of lengths of hose for the low pressure side of things came to about £60
