390se price?

My father in law is thinking of selling his 390se.

It is in great condition and recently had chassis treated, only got around 50k on the clock.

Blue body with cream leather interior.

So how much it should worth?

Prices have gone a bit silly recently - I bought mine at a very good price - this was due to the fact it was going to the dealers for a px, so the vendor sold it to me for that price.

Here's mine, as an example, 69k, full tvr/morgan service history, doeskin interior, not immaculate, but very near to (if I ever get round to polishing it instead of driving it)




I would estimate a similar 390se, to be worth £4500 ish....and I reckon that's being sensible so it sells, try it at £5000. Bear it in mind though, some 400se's are going for that, although there is no difference in performance, some prefer the dash/updated styling.....

Silly silly prices.

Dunno - funny market at the moment. I'd guess anywhere between £3.5k - £6k.
Potential wedge buyers are short in numbers and basically it depends if there is a potential buyer in the market for a 390 in this spec and what kinda money he / she has.

If it were me, I'd put in the classifieds section for about £6k and wait (maybe months) until the right buyer comes along.

Iwould have thought £6k ish. Beware those that are happy, if not keen, to sell at low prices.

If I were you, I would do my best to buy it, notwithstanding the fact that it's as much fun as you can have with your clothes on, it won't drop in price, and with the current wedge market, can only increase in value....so, you won't lose money, if anything you will make money, and if you keep it long enough, your little 'un will have a grin like my two do when they are in it.....

My thoughts exactly.
My 2 girls, 6&8, fight for a ride in it. To keep the peace I bought a 2nd Wedge. Trouble is my wife has finally worked out I can only drive one at once!

That blue one is the same as mine exept for the boot spoiler and the reg. Did you by that recently , spoke to you at the fest if that is the same one .

390SE - 6-7k... pistolars got the right price.

They only made around 100 of em, I reckon they are the best wedge to buy.

Indeed Going back to what we were talking about, I agree entirely, the prices seemingly have got rather daft, this was after I mentioned what my 390 cost me if I recall Either I was especially lucky, I saw mine advertised on here, where it said the dealer had offered £4000 as a px to a new T350, and sort of dismissed it as the pictures weren't that marvellous (same as those I put on this thread - I still haven't got round to polishing and pictures) but when I later made enquiries about a 400se, 'cuneus' posted mine on the thread, so I looked into it a bit deeper.

To cut a long story short, it is worth a great deal more than I paid for it, but for once in my life I guess I was in the right place at the right time. Prices have gone very silly though, which I suppose means that us wedge enthusiasts realise what we have is simply not worth selling as nothing comes close for the price. Yes, I suppose some prefer the rounder later shapes - I like griffs, but are simply not worth double the price of a 390. Performance wise, yes a 500 would see me off, but a 4.0 wouldn't, which I have proved in both straight line, and twisties. Besides, they aren't as outrageous.
