Strange comment!!!

The following was messaged to me on ebay, very strange!!!
i don't wish to be pesimistic,but at the price you are asking i don't think you will get any takers.i have a friend who works as a laminater for tvr and he tells me that spare body parts for the wedge are now virtually none existant and they weren't a good seller anyway,especially the larger engined cars which included the 400 se and the 420 se-ac,yours being the former because they suffered poor handling in relation to the 2.0ltr and 2.8 ltr v6's.he's been working at tvr for many years now and knows his stuff.i'd put a more realistic starting price and let it find it's own level with a reserve.at least you'd get people interested.cheers,neil.not trying to be clever nor am i after it at a knock down price.i've an mg v8 myself and that is trouble enough in itself.

As for the spare body parts well you can get nearly all the panels from Trevor Bee being as he bought the moulds from TVR
Wedges remain the performance bargin of all the TVR range and are still great cars, should I have to sell the cerb I'd return to wedge ownership as opposed a chimera etc

I wish you good luck.I know of the availability of panels for the tvrs.a
guy i deal with for all my grp requirements actually holds many moulds for
the tasmins/s's and earlier granturas and although of very good quality moulding
there are few in the tvr clubs who will recognise or even relate and pass
on these outlets to owners of such cars and unfortunately this puts people
off buying them.as tvr never build more than 499 of any one model so as to
avoid type approval and therefore all the rigours of crash testing/etc they
seldom keep producing there spares for the cars and this doesn't help in
the sale of older less popular cars either,but I do wish you good luck.

deary me, where did that come from....The blokes a Dick, his concern re body panels is due to the fact that an MG needs new wings sills and rear arches every 3 years due to tin worm, I should know I had one which I rebuilt and watched it rot and almost fall apart in a heated garage in less than 12 months. Then I saw the light (and the dark side) heard the rumble and the roar and my life is now complete. 
Dont worry about the poor old sod, Dementia must be setting in, not helped by sleepless nights wondering whats fell of his MG while he was in bed.

That's similar to a newspaper article that I read a while back with the heading "Return of the Body Snatchers."
