Fuel pressure

Ok I'm just about to try and check my fuel pressure.

I can't remember how I checked my FSE when I fitted it.

I have 2 pressure guages, a compression tester which when I attach this to the cold start pipe shows 4 bar of pressure slightly rising as I rev car up

I also have a gunson low guage, but can't seem to work out how to use it properly as have no instructions, so not sure what it is reading.

Bible is saying 3.1 bar, but I'm not quite sure how this is being measured ?

So anyone any ideas on what the pressure in the rail should be at injector end, or is that a pointless test ?

The nominal pressure is the maximum pressure, which is what you get when no vacuum is applied to the fuel pressure regulator. The easiest way to measure this is to run the fuel pump with the engine stopped.

So we are looking for 26 - 46 looking at that previous thread, with hopefully not too much of a presure drop under reving ?
Can't get to the flapper in garage so need to crank the engine to get the fuel pump running, or run the engine
