It's not David,Chris messed me about for two years,turns out he didn't have the car(long story,can't say alot on hear)
A good friend found the owner of the car,been talking to him since Xmass.
To cut a long story short,the car needs restoring,been in storage for 14years min,the owner thinks it's worth a lot more than us,made him a very generous offer,unfortunately he has declind it.I added another £5K to my previous offer and gave him an ultimatum.Time was up last weekend,so i'm looking into other options,a nearly new Ultima is at the top of the list at the moment.
Been 3 long years,decided to move on,you only live once

I hope you didn't hand said person cash?? Also after having dealt with said person myself, Are you sure the car existed and wasn't just a figment of said persons imagination. I wouldn't be surprised if a plan to take a deposit and build a car fitting the bill was on the table??

Sorry to hear that Neil,lots of people have said the same to me,luckily i didn't hand over any cash.I was talking to the owner of the 660 [Chris didn't know where the car was)even have a pic and lots of info on the car.

Whilst I'd like to think its worth 22k Im not sure...
there are also a few interesting bits in the pic. like the external door hinges
the nose is missing the headlight pods ( i bet that hits top speed) and looks like at the very least its been replaced after a prang as its a different colour.
but then it is a race car so has probably had a few knocks...
anyone going to have a close look and report back ?

I spoke to the guy today, he is going to send more info (chassis and reg no's) but was fairly open:
He bought the car 4 years ago in Nuneaton where the (complete) body was separate from the Stainless steel chassis. It had no engine. The Hub carriers are stainlees also
He believes it left the factory as a road SEAC
I mentioned the rear looked odd and he said it may have been replaced/repaired
