door speaker nightmare

Just spent the best part of the day replacing my door speakers. To cut a long storey short, I had to modify the window lift mechanism on the driver's side door to allow clearance for the new speakers. PITA. I have pictures if anyone is mad enough to try this. I can just about drown out the exhaust noise now with elastica on full volume...

Just upgraded to these, but they wouldn't fit in the doors



They also needed a bit of help from behind...........




Sounds deafening in the garage, but still have to turn the volume up to compete with the exhaust on the move

Ohhhh. If you are going to have a decent amp, should it not be a valve mounted under the bonnet. Valve protruding through to see the glow... linked to the throttle so it louder and brighter etc?
