Any of you think a dose of injector cleaner is worth while and if so which one is best ?

Used the stp one once, but not sure it made any difference

Pull 'em all out and bench-test them, spares are cheap on Ebay

I found it made a difference on the range rover diesel, although that may have been as much to do with the Cetane enhacing aditives. Oh and adding it double strength. Improved starting and economy.

Great advice for someone who dosn't have a bench let alone the test equipment or know how

Lob some in then give M0H a real good blat with the lads on Sunday. Shame i can't make it to see the old Gal again.

I used to be a non-believer.
kept getting a dead spot in a chim,just like it would cut out for a split second as if something was breaking down at about midway through the rpm range.
did the usuallugs,cap,arm,leads,diagnostics,no difference.
in desperation I chucked a bottle of wynns fuel injector cleaner straight into the tank with about a gallon of petrol,says to put in with full tank but what the hell!.
worked a treat,never had it ran so smooth.
not saying it is a miracle cure for everything but for a fiver or so it`s always worth a shot.
I slosh a bottle in every six months,it`s got to help in the long run.
I`ve also cured a few diesels by just putting it straight into the filter.

I recon it can't do any harm.
I've always used it a couple of times a year. Has anyone ever used it at the recommended dosage or do you all megadose like me?

Great once the driving season is over I may well be in touch at the mo I am working my way through the simpler causes of moh's ruff running .Ian
