It would be worth your while doing a search through some of the previous posts, since there's been a reasonable amout of chat on both subjects.

But for what it's worth...

I insure my 400SE through Peart Associates.
32y/o, full no claims, limited to 6000 miles per year, live in the Manchester area = £400.00

As for the wheels. I believe a proper strip down and refurbish would be £££££'s
A lesser one (ie not splitting the rims) would be cheaper. Think there's a good place over in Yorkshire somewhere.

How bad are they. Is it just the laquer that's looking rough or is the metal istself damaged?

Insured through Adrian Flux for a couple of years now. Beat all other renewal quotes (as they promised to do)easily. Reading through previous posts it seems most of the insurance companies have their fans.

I've just had a quote for my 390 trom Footman James. I'm 27 with 0 no claims (new 2nd policy). £433 with £100 excess. Limited to 6000 miles.

To say I'm bloody impressed is an understatment, I was expecting far more!

Rich.
