Wing Mirrors again!

Hi
At last I took the 350i for its first MOT (Since I owned it.)
It passed!!!!!!
But amongst a few other advisory items was the Wing mirrors.
YES I am still looking for the early electric mirrors. The ones which fit on the door panel not the pod type!
Please can any one help, I am happy even to take any old damaged ones as I can repair etc.

are you sure about that both the tasmins i've got (84 &85)had door stalk mounted electric mirrors, although i dont think any of them actually worked

The original black door face mounted ones from 1983 are electric.Due to design and age most don't work.

Andy, if you have the original mirrors, maybe you can have them repaired so they work again?

Can't be too difficult a job?

I have a a few answers to your replys:
Yes its the early type I need.
Yes they were electric.
If I had the correct type I would fix them but one of the previous owners has removed them!
I am happy o take any cast off which don't work etc, as I will have a go at fixing them!

Hi

Have been offerd one wing mirror from a fellow Pistonheader, but still need one for the passangers side!
Surly some one has one knocking about in there garage etc!
Please help as that's all that is needed to put this early 350i back to complete original condition.
I am happy to take it in any condition!
