Trouble with the....

....locking mechanism .....to the boot that is. Can´t get the boot lid to keep firmly down. Furthermore , can´t find any adjustment to the locking pin. Am I blind.......?????

Its not the pin you want to adjust but the catch.
If you remove the 5 or so screws along the top of the back trim panel (level with the boot catch) you will be able to get access to the catch and solenoid.
There is a decent amount of adjustment on the catch and you can always add extra washers to bring the height of the catch up too.

If remove the rear boot trim as mentioned above, its all very self explanitory.

Ahhhhh....trouble is I don´t have a solenoid, just a simple wire. But I suppose the adjustmant is the same, right?

Be very careful when adjusting the pin and claw mechanism. If there is any burring or wear to either and you get them out of alignment when adjusting, they can bind together and not release when the cable is pulled. File them smooth before you start adjusting anything. If you can be bothered it may also be worth removing the back trim panel inside the boot and measuring exactly where to drill the back panel from the outside under the number plate if at some future date the cable breaks.

If it does get Stuck DONT DRILL ANY HOLES there is a very simple way to open the boot on any Wedge
