280i - parking brake trim details needed

Does anyone know what the original vinyl trim bits looked like around the park brake lever of the 280i (a Series "1.5" in this case)? My car had some nasty heat damage to this area from the under-seat resonators. There was a fair bit of trim damaged which I'm now repairing. I've got pictures of the original pieces I've got, if that would be of help to anyone.

The the gaitor over the parking brake lever is composed of a single piece of vinyl sewn to create the proper shape (and stuffed with a bit of foam to make and maintain the desired shape of the gaitor). Then there's a second piece of trim, also sewn. This piece appears to simply make sure that there're no gaps in the interior trim in that area that might expose anything underneath. All of this is then staple to a carboard backing. This backing in my car had been broken and charred, but it's easy to make another one. I saw a picture of a 350i interior that used a larger fiberboard backing. This backed both the parking brake and shift lever trim. On my car, this board backing is only beneath the parking brake lever.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Sounds like you already have all the information you need Just copy what you have, it can't be any worse than the factory's efforts...

I made up my replacement. Just find the colour to match your exisiting gaitor and send me what you have along with the original and I'll make one up for you.

Bought one with gearstick gaiter on ebay last year for a 350i from a company in Africa quality is excellent "Mr Gaiter" or something. About £15.

Yes, I'm pretty close with what I need. Some of the bits are badly damaged and I'd like to confirm what was there originally, if I can. It certainly is true that it's easy to reproduce what the factory did - it's easy to do better. I'm just looking to reproduce the original factory bits.
