Urgent help!

Help!

The boot on the 400 is refusing to open. When I press the button I get an activator sound from the back but the boot does not pop up or come free from the catch.
The roof is inside! Can someone clue me in to the manual way of opening please?

Get someone to push down on the boot lid above the lock while you press the button, if you are lucky the catch is binding against the pin too much. Otherwise wait for someone to tell you the secret way (whatever that is?) to open it.

No problem, it has just dawned on me that there is a knotty solution to a slack screw for the belt and braces. Have to implement in the morning on re assembly.

Cable had snapped. Sorted now. Used some blind cord instead of brake cable. Works a treat!

Errrr, so what's the secret way into the boot then? I had a job getting in to mine the other day (and my frozen chips were defrosting in there!!!) Any help appreciated, thanks.
