first blat in my wedge

My wedge managed the 8 hr journey with rob ingleby from lincoln to angus without any problems -amazing
Went with rob for its 1st blat with lid off and what a noise -im just blown away with the whole package
I'm amazed what a civilised car it is to drive around in -pulls from any speed in 5th -so much torque
There is even an adjustable steering column to get an ideal driving position and a heater and a proper roof which works -no such luxuries in my 7
Planning to go down to see Noel Flannery nr Edin on mon weather permitting to get suspension tweeked and a few other niggles sorted
Cant sleep just thinking about it
And the weather forecast looks set fair for the weekend
Promised to pick my son from school this evening -cant wiat to see the expression on his face

Congratulations, and consider yourself lucky that the heating is working! Mine does and nobody believes me (they all don't do that sir). Even went for a drive (dry roads though) in the middle of winter, roof off and like -10 degrees Celsius. Comments in the village at low speeds: you must be mad and very cold. My response: I am quite warm, and at least more warmer then walking! Disadvantage: the heater is not strong enough at those temperatures and cruising speeds (+60mph) and more.

Cheers boys -i dont remember being this excited even when i got my first 7 -even SWMBO seems to like it although i think she will find the steering a bit heavy -but it loosens up fine once the car is rolling along -its also quite wide car on country lanes
I'm being v carefull with the throttle right now till i get the hang of it
Have ot say i could lidten to that burbel all day -reminds me of my old range rover but much loader

I'm told by rob that getting polybushes all round is a good thing to do -ill take Noel's advice and let him work his magic next week
What sort of tyre pressures would you advocate for winter use -ive 22psi[cold ] all round -its bot 16 inch BFs on the rear and 15 inch Avons Zs on the front
Also handy to have the battery in the boot to keep the Accumate charger on

Light pod: the connections that are just underneath it get wet if it is raining. On mine it was just oxidation: remedy, take connections apart, clean, spray with WD40 or something, put back together and hopefully it is working again. If not, I also replaced the light switch itself (mine is on the steering column). If you need to raise the pods quickly, it could be that you have an access hole just underneath the pod, twist the knob and it probably comes up! Be carefull with the knob, as when the pod goes up or down by itself it will rotate fast.
