wedge versus '7'

Had the pleasure of driving the wedge this afternoon on back roads pushing through flock of sheep too and other slow moving stuff ,lots of crackling ,popping , then putting wedge in garage and driving other toy , red HPC '7' . Totally different experience not suprisingly , the wedge being bigger , noisier , effortlessly powerful and luxurious eg it has doors and elecric windows , while the '7' is basic , tiny and goes round corners like , well they aren't corners !
Know what you mean Combine - We (rather my Dad) had a 7 SuperlightR a year before we got the 400SE - It had the roller-ball throttle bodies, lots of carbon/magnesium so 200bhp and just over 500kg!! Was shockingly fast and I'll never forget the traffic light drag race with a 360 Modena.. It is missed by Dad, but it's the BBW that I really want again (preferrably a nice 400SE).
I too have had the pleasure of both (but not for a while).
I helped my best mate to build a Caterham 1700 Super Sprint back in 1989 and we have had many a high speed adventure in that. It's been off road for the last couple of years undergoing a total overhaul having clocked up about 85,000 miles!
I've had my 350i for 7 years, had many adventures in that too but it has been off the road for 12 months now. All it needs is the exhaust sorting and a pair of steering rack gaiters for the MOT.
The race is now on to get both ready for the spring.
Both awesome cars in their individual ways, the TVR = Luxury, grunt and awesome noise, the Caterham = Minimalism in everything except speed, handling and excitement. Both are one big adrenalin rush, but I actually feel safer on a motorbike than I do in the Caterham!
You are truly spoilt to have both all to your self! I have thought seriously about the best of both worlds in the form of a Westfield Seight. What do you think, should I?

Very interesting choice and one I have agonised over along with Dax rush v8 which I really wanted and fairly 'cheap' . Pitched back to reality by younger brother who said ' must be the original '7' ie caterham ', think depreciation ! And easier to sell.Still secretly wanting av8 Dax though one day , wife occasionally wants to know why I need two toys , me wanting three! Stop!
