BBWF 2007 FINAL CALL

Well with the publication of BBWF 2006 in yesterdays edition of SPRINT I can inform the Wedge massive that I have the booking form ready to sign and return to Ettington Chase.


The dates reserverd are Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July 2007

Please note there will be a small increase in room rates over last year but I am hoping to negotiate this to no more than a £10.00

I will be sending this booking form in on Friday 17th November so if anyone has a problem with this as the venue/date for BBWF 2007 let everyone know now

Sadly I have to decline. I think my brother might have sommit to say about me not being at his wedding. Wonder if its too late to get them to shift to Ettington.....

Yeh Jeff you cant miss Wedge Fest (wot about all the burgers?) get him to come to EC -we can arrange another White Wedging and after all we already have a Reverend, who, now he`s retired, has nothing else to do on the day!

Re the price - they wanted £65 for us and for the Griff growl last year but the S Club managed £60 but for an earlier date in the year..

I pulled a bit of a flanker saying we were reconsidering .. and got £60. We were lucky and that could only last so long. As we also drank down the road and had no BBQ - it's no real surprise that they want £70 a double room.

We renegotiated to £60/double last year for the Growl. The BBQ is outsourced so little revenue for them. If they price the beer sensibly (and the food) they would get more takers - otherwise it'll be Tinnies and the White Horse.

What deal have you been offered for this year then.. I think all should made it pretty clear if the price rise is significant say £70 instead of a more reasonable £65 - then we will all be looking for a new venue in 2008 !
