new hood now fitted, what a transformation to the car.Seals fell to bits though so new ones on order.Also had seats retrimmed plus handbrake and gearlever gaiters so im a lot happier now.Anyway my real point is that the person who did the above work(a pal)also made me a roof bag for the centre section when in the boot,hopefully keeping it in good nick! He says that he will make these for £80 for anyone else.Its heavy duty vinyl, velour lined,velcro fastening.More details will be given to Mike for tvrwedgepages.

Mike, I have a 1988 390SE and it's in need of a new hood, where did you buy yours from and how much ? Also when you buy a hood is it just the material you get or do you get the whole "mechanism" (back window,hinges, seals and adhesives). And did you or your pal fit it, finally - you don't live in Kent do you ??

RE new roof. mine was fitted for £260 this included original spec mohair,new window but not seals.The seals didnt seem to bad but then fell to bits on removal.No problem though they are readily available from WOOLIES of Peterborough for about £15.(www.woolies-trim.co.uk).Ill be picking mine up from newark autojumble on sunday 14 october,where woolies have a stand and carry a very good stock of new trims.As posted earlier my roof was made by a pal who has made many in the past for a specialist in this area.(South yorks).He says he has had enough of them!
