The wheels are Mk3 from a scorpio - 5 stud. I'm going to bell a Ford owners club and ask the question. Watch this space for answer.

Think they came only in 14 inch on Granada?
It is already difficult to source good tyres for 15", and would consider myself to upgrade to 16" if anything to be changed in this respect. Seems some Mercedes aftermarket one's are a straight fit.

They fit a MK2 Granada which is what TVR used on the front with the rears being the same setup.

The center bore is different on Merc wheels (66.5 as opposed to 63.3 iirc), though as the center bore of the split rims (standard 8jx15) on our 400SE is bigger than the boss maybe that does not matter.

Anybody know if spacers are OK to use? I have a set of 16" split rims but the offset is 33mm, they will 'fit' on the front but not the rear. I bought them to fit on the 350i but ended up buying a 400SE and as they are 7j (400 has 8jx15) I have never bothered trying to space them out.

6mm hub spacers should be fine

the center bore isnt a problem and you even dont need any centering-rings. the konic wheel nuts will center the alloy properly, if you will tighten them properly. every other info is bullshit!!!!!!!!! (the centering rings are mainly made of plastic-->do you think the plastic can help in any way?..the only thing why you fit them, is to pre-center the wheels to fit the nuts more easy). i´ve done that with some 16" ronal-alloys, made for mercedes and VW T4 bus, no rings and? the are running perfectly "round".

Yes, they help one to centre the wheel. If you feel happy that you don't need that help that's fine.

I have found the whole confusing to the point where I'm going to end up getting a set of refurbed wheels in exchange for my exisitng ones...

I will check the stud length and if 6mm will work will see if I can get some R888s for the 16" wheels - useful for dry track days.
