.....at the front? Where should I put my axle stands? Under the central tubing or somewhere else?

The central tubing is best (as it does not rot) but is not terribly stable. You could leave the trolley jack under one outrigger and a scisor jack under the other to aid stability or if you know your outrigers are in good condition then half way along them with no additional support needed.

According to the "Bible" the safest point on the front is where the front outrigger arm joins the main chasis just behind the front wheel. I always tend to use a wooden block when jacking up the car.

Thanks a lot. Used the method suggested by Rev-erend when working the rear suspension.
Axle stands with something soft between the tubes and the stand and support a bit out on the outriggers. Reason I´m asking about the front is that I think it must be a lot more weight, right?

I use the soft plastic jack saddle pad and similar pads for the jack stands and then use the jacking point just behind the front wheel as previously described. So far, no problems.

Taimar78....do you mean on the outrigger right behind the front wheel?

I use the suspension crossmember just under the engine to lift, then axle stands each side.

What I should have said was reiterating what GV stated as listed in the Wedge Bible: "where the front outrigger arm joins the main chasis just behind the front wheel."

According to the bible and the pictures in it, it should be just in front of the joint between the outrigger and the central tube, right?
Anyway, I´ll try to support by more stands to even the pressure out a bit.
Happy New Year and thanks a lot for your help.

What sort of jack do you use that is low and long enough to get under that crossmember?

Halfords 2-tonne Chinese special. Go in from under the wheelarch, lift a bit then swing the jack round to the front.

Thanks .I'll give this a go with my Chinese special. Might be different with Seac arches.

Use the front cross-member to lift the front initially as well, but have a high lifter that is just low enough to start from the front of the car immediately. Does my 350i have more ground clearance? Don't think so with the spoiler like 10-12cm of the floor...

Remember that jacking the wedge up first time took me close to an hour! Better save, then sorry.
