Jack and Tools

My 400 has come with the tool bag but no tools. Have searched history and cant see a mention of what model the jack and wheel brace come from.
Suspect and will be dissapointed if its not something obscure, like a Talbot Tagora or a Matra Rancho.

Any ideas ?

Sorry Kev but the extensive tool kit is IIRC as follows 1 scissor jack with handle (mostly useless), 1 Wheels brace (mostly useless) 1 one centre cap removing tool (the only part of this tool kit you really need, and I mean REALLY need)

Agreed.. no other tools with a Wedge TVR.

It was something obscure, like a Fiat Regata or Ford Edsel

Just a boggo scissor-jack, too-short handle and too-short wheelbrace in my car

You need the special "custom wedge kit" put together yourself including:

Insulation tape
Electrical connectors
Duct tape
Can of Finnilec (instant puncture repair)
WD40
Cable ties
A rag
String, some garlic & a crucifix. lol.

I have a couple of the jacks and handles, but sorry, no wheel braces or tools for the center caps on the OZ wheels

I had a front valve stem split and the supplied scissor jack didn't have enough leverage to pick up the car - even when my hulking son tried. The jack worked fine with no weight. Fortunately we were near the house so my wife begrudgingly came out with the official TVR support vehicle.

Moral: Test your jack and the clearance needed with a flat tire. Grady

Just come back in from lenghty attempts to remove the wheel caps (of course without the required tool).

Used the excellent post submitted I think by L33 and bult a suitable bolt which worked well for the first two bolts but not on the other two where some lovely so and so had already stripped the centre sections so both had to be removed forcibly

Not a happy chappy and will now have to source alternative bolts to secure the trims one the brake job has been completed :must think nice thoughts....:

This 'special tool' i assume is what i have comprising of two very odd looking metal bars...bit heathrobinson but work!!!
