400 SE OZ WHEELS DILEMMA

I have a 400 SE with the "wrong wheels", its fitted with the cross spoke 350 SE items see picture in my profile. Car came via probate and believe it or not an other member of the family has 5 of the original wheels, 4 in good condition, one not so good - unsure yet of centre cap situation. Question is, is it worth buying these, I cant get them for free and whats a fair price ? Maybe be ignorant here, but is it worth spending x amount on these and really would I get that back come resale. Neighbour with the 450 says buy em as anyone buying a 400SE would walk away from mine as the x spokes are just wrong.
Advice please.

£500 ish wouldn't be unrealistic - maybe even more.

£500 seems a fair price - if the condition is fair..

Poor - say £350 and good - say £600..

At least - that's what I would pay.

I would say new set £2000, very good second hand £250 per wheel, average £100 to £150 per wheel, rough ????

Guess I should buy the original OZ's - £5-600 ish, then ebay the cross spokes to offset some of the expense. Set on Ebay as we speak

This wouldn't suprise me, got 2 x 16" not so long ago. Each Rough wheel £135.00,Refinishing £165 to £220 per wheel.Total satisfaction with the finished Look PRICELESS!!!!!!

I would not buy a 400 without the original wheels as stated it just would not be right.

Probably the best course of action but don't expect too much for the cross spokes; £150 for the set?

As a footnote, 15 years ago new from the factory the 400SE wheels were about £600 each whereas a Griff wheel was £120, lol.

Interesting Alun How far do you take the originality thing then ?? 400s were never available with 16 inch Tuscan race wheels on the rear
