Bible Volume 2 available soon...?
Discussion
OK over the past few years on here I've been not so subtlety dropping hints at opportune moments that SH should publish the follow on to Vol 1. Now I know he's kept himself busy designing and making bolt on widgets to improve various aspects of various TVRs, not to mention modifying his Wedge to truly astronomical extents and he probably has a life as well! but I'm sure there is a large number of potential immediate sales for a sequel. Could we have a show of hands indicating interest in purchasing a newly published scripture?
I for one would be willing to stump up a deposit to focus the mind(hand).

I'd like to see a follow up book that explains the best ways a DIY-er can tune or upgrade a Wedge.
For example, which suspension mods are most effective and compliment each other. Which type of shocks should be used and the benefits/drawbacks to each of them. How do you go about setting damper rates, how do you know if you've got them right or not. What are the effects of changing the geometry.
Which off-the-shelf engine mods are the most effective, and compliment each other. For example, what are the benefits of using the larger injectors, larger AFM, uprated fuel pressure, shortened trumpets, twin plenum, different cam etc. Which work the best with one another, and which capacity engine should they all be used on. Is a twin plenum wasted on a 3.5, would it make the mixture too lean without larger injectors, BHP gains? Just stuff that the home mechanic can try to get a few extra horses.
Brakes could be another section too, like which calipers offer the best braking per £, and how to set up the front/rear balance. Perhaps a section on engine cooling mods, like how to install a remote oil cooler or even install air con.
Personally, I'm not really interested in body work mods or ways to fix a dodgy switch, but would just like a price graduated guide on tuning componants, with pros and cons of each. Perhaps something to cater for the people who have 2 grand to spend on blue printing their engine, down to a 100 quid mod on installing a second hand AFM. I know theres a lot of topics on PH which deal with this kind of stuff, but normally they end with about 50 conflicting views and rarely give enough confidence to part with the money. And the Rover V8/Ford V6 etc books from Waterstones always contain lots of glossy pictures, but are normally aimed at people who want to just pass their engine to a pro tuner and hand them 4k.

I could translate it into Tx drawl - simple global replace a with awl should suffice.
Things have been extremely hectic at the moment and until I get some projects completed I am not taking any more work on.
I did say I would give a talk at the Wedge Fest on the 520's evolution and development.
If there is enough interest in that, it could be used as a framework for a modding the car book/volume but I am not promising anything right now.
I need to get the Wedge Mot'd for a start and out on a track to really shake it down. That is definitely my Wedge priority at the moment.
