which spark plugs

Guys, getting the old girl ready for the coming clucks, I see there are a few variants on which plugs to use. I am currently using BPR6ES. On the NGK website they recommend BPR5E. On the forums others use B7ECS.......concensus please!

used to use BPR5ES in the 350i, but use B7ECS in the 400.

NGK - B7ECS is the SEAC.. but I will be changing to an even smaller plug at some point !

Depends how you drive. If the plug insulator nose is very white, you need to get a cooler plug (change from 6 to 7 for example) if the insulator is very black - cos you poodle about in town all day or run full throttle rich every where - then you want to get a hotter plug, so change from 6 to 5.

Off/on topic question? Bosch platinum any good? Have these as they were in when I go the wedge. Should last a very long time. And when checked, everytime they looked fine. No special nose, just one electrode by the way.
