Funny enough I was chatting to someone who was thinking about turbocharging a SEAC

I said he should go for a supercharger

If you have the funds, I say do it!

The power increase/boost seemed pretty mild - then when I saw the diagrams I found out why - the supercharger is driven off the serpentine belt.

Not much power can be taken off before it starts slipping.

Put the lights on, and your boost will go! Not to mention turning any corners....

I think the fanbelt is usually good for 15bhp - which might translate into a 45bhp gain at a push.

The way to go is a grooved drivebelt, and more compression. On the other hand, maybe they think the bottom end isn't up to it without strengthening. Shame, as there is plenty of room in the Griff/Chim for a great big blower.

I naturally assumed it was on a separate grooved belt.

I looked at this Blow Chim last year at chimfest, one big problem for us Wedgers, as Adam has said, it fits the serp engine. Howard did a write up in sprint a few months back about a trip in the demo Chim, made good reading.

Shirley though - it's easy to fit some new pulleys and a poly-V belt? (similar to SEAC)
