350i hood re-trim help needed :)

am toying with replacing rather naff (dirty) white vinyl with a decent burgundy colour mohair jobby. A trimmer up my way called AP Trimming in Wigan has estimated about £300 to do the job which seems ok? I can get the cloth from Segal in Salford. Has anyone had this done that can offer advice? i assume it's simple enough?

Also, my stays are a bit naff and I think I heard that you can replace with the ally ones off a Griff? true or false? ta

just had mine done 500 all in!! well worth it tho transformed the car. the guy that done it said it was a pig of a job as not 2 are the same size.

I got my hood from autohoods and fitted it myself. Cost me £289 and was worth it as they wanted £750 to supply and fit! There are other people about who could do it cheaper but that depends if you rather have ago yourself in which case you'll save some cash.

Have done a rear screen which was fairly easy but time consuming. I think you could do it yourself depending on how good you are with your hands if you have a good machine and plenty of time. 300 pound seems agood prie though
