According to a price list I got off Ebay a while back, my '87 390SE was over £23K as it has metallic paint and PAS.

Right then, Price list (including optional equipment) below from July 1991:


I priced my wedge up at a whopping £30,625!!! (£28,495 plus an extra £290 for metallic paint, £1,540 for full leather and £300 for boot spoiler). It looks like as time went on, the wedges got a LOT more expensive.

On the same pricelist, the prices for all models as follows:
S3 = £18,995
S3c = £20,995
V8 S = £23,595
Griffith 4.0 = £25,795
Griffith 4.3 = £28,295
400 SE = £28,495
450 SE = £31,995

So it looks like the wedge was top of the tree

In Holland a standard 350i cost about 75.000-80.000 guilders without any extras. Thinking about what the exchange rate was at that time (1 pound=3.5 guilders?), it was over 25.000 pounds! Now you know why Dutch people buy TVRs in the UK - they are too expensive over here, new and second hand. And not because they are 'economical' like the Scotts.....
