Wing mirror lens

Broke my driver side wing mirror glass on the weekend, fiddling with it. Anyone got a spare or is it a hens tooth job? Beer tokens waiting

I need one Wyn, last time I was in Halfords (shoplifting) they had loads of mirrors for all sorts of cars did not have a propoer look but they must have one to fit. Let me know when/if you find one

What car did TVR take the mirror from?
Just about any auto-parts store here would carry replacements
for the most common mirrors or order in rare ones. They're sticky
taped on the back so you can just stick ot down over the existing
broken glass/frame if there's any left to adhese to.

Halfords don't have one that exactly matches the original pre pod mirrors on my early 350i.

I opted for a close match rather the plastic cut you own variety

I think halfords will get one cut for you if you give them a pattern

As far as I know the mirrors were specific to the Wedge as the mechanism is (mostly) ex Ford Sierra but the glass was too big so a smaller piece was made to fix to the back plate. Halfords will charge you £19.99 per mirror and you will wait 3 weeks, or do like I did and go to your local builders merchant that does glass (and mirror) cutting. My local one cut two for about £8. Gave the guy the template in the morning and mirrors were available to collect in afternoon.

In the pod style mirrors. The motor assembly I believe is Rover SD1 and the glass off a Capri.

Just a though.... trace/cut a piece of paper from the opposite side to get the right size and shape. Flip the paper over, viola, cookie cutter for the other side. Any decent glass shop should be able to cut you new glass cheaply.
