hi all looking to buy my first wedge,blue one on pistonheads This is formerly Wyn Davies wedge,and Mike Bressington would this be a good buy!

Check the front strut tops for corrosion (front wheels off). Check rest of chassis for corrosion. Do the following test for the engine;
Get the owner to warm the engine up then drive along in 3rd gear @ 4-5k rpm for about 30 secs, then come off the throttle and let the car slow down without the brakes until engine revs get down to 1500-2k then get him to floor it. If you see blue smoke you have a worn engine.
These checks should be done on all TVR's you look at.

Yes Brian you are in the right place There has been alot of advice on here about buying Wedges so try a search and see what comes up, if you know about cars have a long hard look yourself, if not, get someone to look at it for you.

Dont buy the first one you look at, go and see a few more, If you want to look at some Wedges then come to the Warks and West Mids meeting at the Bulls head Meriden next Sunday there should be at least 4-5 there and plenty of Wedge owners that will give advice.

Once you hear that glorious Wedge soundtrack you money will start to get out of your wallet all on it's own....
