Been dropped in at the deep end have I?

I suggest the Kingscliff Hotel just up the road from here at Hollan-on-Sea. Bracing sea air and good country lanes (bumpy) to drive around. Note enough rooms, so camping on the beach might be the order of the day.

Apart from all that, if I still have the Wedge, I hope to be at Ettington. The car may be for sale in the near future.

On a visit to The Alma in Harwich a few months ago in order to inspect the aforesaid 'Knocker' as recommended by Gunmetal, I discovered the pub to be closed and only open at weekends! I shall arrange a reconnoitre on another day and report back to HQ.

I will see what I can do Andy and Leo - just have to catch the pub when it is open! And then get a digicam, of course.

Just in case any of you think about coming over to this part of the world (N.E Essex), don't bother. The roads are getting worse! I was yumped and bumped about all over the place yesterday, and I'm getting fed up with little Peugeots and other Euro and Japo boxes driving up my chuff whilst I'm struggling to keep the thing on the road!

But the Wedge really does remain great fun!
