front springs

The old girl flew thru the MOT again yesterday, but the tester said it might need a new bush or two at the back next time. Anyway searching various threads, toying with the idea of super-flexing all, and giving her some new springs and dampers. Driving to and from the station warming her up, I have come to notice that the front suspension seems to be too soft for my liking, rolling and diving under hard breaking. Some where, but cant find, a suggestion of fitting 400 front road springs. Is this right!
Or has anyone up-rated and found a good set-up they could suggest..................ta like UG

More likely to be the shocks, to be honest.

The springs hold the car up, but the shocks stop it bouncing dynamically.

I would suggest to do one thing first - replace the front tie bar rubber sponges with polyurethane ones, and get the front end aligned (the castor is important, especially if you are running 15 inch wheels) - this simple modification really makes a huge difference. IMHO it is not so good to use Polyurethane anywhere else, as it caused suspension damage on a previous wedge I had.
