Just been checking wedge over prior to MOT tomorrow, when I checked the indicators by switching the hazard warning lights on, none of the offside lights worked, but the nearside ones did. When I turned the hazards off and switched the indicators on, on the offside worked fine!!!
Anybody any ideas why this may be happening?
check the plug is on the back of the switch, and mey be squirt some wd in the switch.
Hazards are not an MOT thing, If you cant get em to work now just remove the switch for the MOT. The rules say 'if fitted must work' same with rear fog lights IIRC
It is a flakey switch, got it working this morning before taking it to test station, albeit still a bit intermitant!
Lets hope it passes! I hate the wait whilst its at the station!
Sounds like tarnishing inside the switch. Flick it on and off about 20 times, that should wipe the contacts clean.
Just got it back and its passed! Now is it possible to get a new switch?
