Tasmin 200

I am joining the wedgies with a Tasmin 200 to keep my Taimar company.It needs restoration following a front end impact but should be on the road by the end of the month.
The suspension feels even harder than the Taimar, is this normal or has it been modified?

Its not the Tasmin in Seacroft is it? A red FHC?

I was going to buy it, but it was too far gone for my taste

I dont know a massive amount of history only it was previously registered abroad, but unsure of what country. Was involved in hit and run in November-ish to which end the insurance paid out as a total loss and let him have the car back

I hope you've had a good look around the front chassis as I think it will need pulling on the passenger side as it looked like the wishbone mounting had been pushed in and the chassis rail running down the side of the engine!

TET mouldings have all the GRP parts you will need for around £800

I have already cut out and replaced the damaged chassis tubes and realigned the suspension.
I got a replacement nose section and front bumper off ebay and have started the fibreglass repairs.
I paid £500 for it, may be a bit over the top but I liked the condition of the rest of the car. It needs some of the halfords bling removing and some light restoration inside but the engine, chassis (apart from the front corner) and suspension are in good condition. Should be on the road by the end of the month then rolling restoration for the rest of its life like the Taimar!

Fantastic..I was looking at paying around £500 if he would, but he wanted nearer a grand.....never going to happen!

She'll be a damn fine car when shes sorted Keith, I was impressed when she fired up first time in god knows how many months!!!

At least its not going to be scrapped now
