SUN VISORS

Hi, does anyone know from which parts bin the sun visors come from? My beast is a 1988 350i convertible and the passenger one keeps dropping down because its innards are buggered.

I 'ditched' them (and keep with all the other stuff I am not throwing away). The top of the screen is ok for me, and sunglasses do the rest.
Think that some people use velcro, or something like that, to keep them up....

taking those Blo&dy things off was the first thing i did to my baby!

With them down you cant see where your going, and up they block the sun!!

Be carefull to take the screws out: It will leak through the holes! I just took the visors out, and left the rest (for the moment, which is over 4 years now).

I'd like to take my visor off, but can't see how to, is there a trick way that they are held on?

I took mine off. Just needed some pressure to arch the top in the middle and they came clear of the pegs at each end with no problem - Streaky

Mine came off dead easy - hot sunny day blatting along the Brecon Beacons trying to keep up with the other chicken runners with Mrs Break ( ) riding shotgun. My visor constantly having to be pushed up just ripped it off in anger jod done!!

Yesterday I took the top down for the first time. What the hell are the sun visors for? They're a load of crap! Took them off and now my car is more areodynamic and 630g lighter. It sure feels faster as a result, what other useless bits can I take off, or should they all have fallen off by now?

The passenger seat is always a good one to remove. Not only does it save on weight, but also the nagging sound stops when you put your foot down.
