Wiring for headlights

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the headlights in a Tasmin 200, or any other model as I assume they wetre all wired up the same.
I am rebuilding a Taimar 200 with frontal damage and I am now ready to wire the lights in but have no idea how the pop up mechanism is wired into the headlights.

Keith - you need to get the wedge bible from Steve Heath publishing.

The wiring is different across the models.

when i had problems with my lights i looked at tr7 wiring diagrams and sorted it out.these are easy to get hold of.the mechanisms are tr7 anyway.took hours of pi****g about though so good luck

Hi, there is a helpful article in the maintenance section on headlamp problems including wiring diagrams. I used it to solve my headlamp probs as it hints at how to remove the headlamp to get at the mechanism. Mine wasn't an electrical problem. The previous owner had a new motor fitted and when the linkage was fitted to the motor shaft it wasn't fitted properly and eventually wore through the linkage slot. The motor shaft pushes in slightly when you fit the linkage so only half the linkage sits on the motor shaft. You need to make sure that you don't push the shaft in so that all the linkage sits on the shaft. My symptom was that the motor lifted the headlamp and then it flopped back down. While you're at it its a good idea to free off the linkage joints as they do stiffen up. Regards, Mark
