Are you sure she was interested in what TVR stood for, or did you fail to notice the chat up line...

There's a little bit of male/female psychology hidden in there. She was actually interested in YOU! The fact that she stopped to go out of her way to ask you what TVR stood foor suggests that she probably thought you were a bit of alright too. I mean, she probably wouldn't have asked you if you were an out and out plonker, would she?
What you might call in the trade, a 'buying signal'!
The correct answer would have been something along the lines of "It means I'm a real man and I'll sweep you off my feet" followed by "Wanna go park in the woods?" or some similar invitation.
You could, of course, then regale her with tales of Isadora Duncan and her infatuation with her young 'Mr Bugatti' and his glamourous car, and the final ride that led to her death. (Just remind your girl not to wear long scarves.) Alternatively, you could show her the controls, stalks and things.
My Wedge - I don't clean and polish it - I just drive it. That does not mean it isn't well looked after - quite the contrary. It just carries the dust and detritus of forays into battle on the roads of Essex and Suffolk - and it loves it all.
Maybe I'll take it out for a valet today!
