fast road/track Wedge What size spring's/

Can any one advise,i have built a car using a rolling chassis prepared for track use only (Ebay purchase) but i want to use it on the road with the odd track day/hill climb,it's fitted with nitron coil over shockers front springs are 9" 750lb's and the rears are 10" 300lb's which are like rock solid,far too hard for our crap british roads,have been advised to fit 500lb spring's to the front and leave the rear's,the car is stripped out but has a full 6 point roll cage fitted,cheers pete

I would suggest you call Richard Thorpe at RT racing or Joolz at Track car solutions.. or Derek at Absolutely Shocks.

My 390 has got 500 lb springs on the front, and they are quite firm, but OK for foad use. Make sure your dampers can handle the spring rates!

Oh, hang on, its got Nitrons, in which case youve already got some of the best dampers out there!

That car might have been breathed on by Moore Racing if its got Nitrons: Richard used to do a conversion kit.

Yes Ed your right,the chassis was modified by Moore racing,he supplied and fitted the bespoke bottom arms as well as the nitron's amongst other thing's,i will e-mail him for advice too cheers pete

You got any piccies of the suspension mods he did? Im considering going this way myself, and would be uber grateful for any pics of what needs doing!

Richard moore suggested 500lb front and 350lb rear,but i think the back is too stiff as it is,i have a bad back any way!!cheers millo
