iPod Fitted in Wedge.

Mrs KTiM was kind enough to give me a new car stereo for my birthday

It fitted it yesterday and as it has an "Aux In" socket in the front panel, also fitted my iPod to the wedge.

Pioneer head unit with "Aux In" lead plugged in.



My ashtray lid was already broken so I took off the lid and then covered the tray with some black leathercloth. Drilled a hole in the tray and the transmission tunnel cover so that the lead from the stereo could run under the cover from the dash to the ashtray.



The iPod slides on to the male connector and sits nicely in the tray.

Is that an Autowatch immobiliser jack further up the dashboard?

No, it's a "Laserline", why do you ask, is there something bad about them?

I studied your installation but wondered if my arm - which rests/bumps on the console between shifts - wouldn't bop the ipod controls. Otherwise it looks very nice. Grady

I find that if I leave my hand on the gear lever my elbow rests on the transmission tunnel, behind the hand brake, so my forearm isn't going to hit the 'pod. Folk with different length arms or gear levers may find it's different for them.
