Drove down to Pencoed car show,great. Half way home, suddenly went like a tank. Sounded worse!. Booted it all the way up Nantgarw Hill, went like dream all the way home. Strange........any ideas ?....UG
p.s chatting to a few TVR guys.........we might be having 2 new wedge members. One from Swansea, one from Bristol.

This has happened to me on a few occasions.
Is this a Rover V8 engined car (may be only on flapper injection).
If the car idles roughly then look for the Resistor Pack (about the size of a cigarette packet with about a dozen wires coming out of it (on top of the passenger inner wing on my car).
Wiggle the connector - if the engine picks up and runs well then this is the problem. Take the plug off, clean it and dollop it with vaseline to prevent corrosion.
I know that some of the rover racers who kept injection used to remove the connector and solder all the leads in place.
