I know there's a rule against naming and shaming on PH, but I hope the rule does not apply to naming and praising.......
So its a big
to Richard Thorpe at RT Racing in Sheffield. Several years ago he fitted new suspension bushes all round on my wedge. At this years MOT the tester noted some excess play in one of the bushes in a rear wishbone. I called RT and asked him to take a look. He replaced the worn bush, plus another for good measure. He did it while I waited, reset all the rear geometry, and gave everything else a thorough look over....... and the total charge was................................
Nothing.
The big fellow was so surprised by the failure of the bush he decided it qualified as a warranty claim (i don't have one, so he invented one of his own)
One can't help thinking that perhaps TVR would still be around today if they'd shown such committment to their products/customers.
Oh, and the workshop was chock full of V8 wedges!
