FHC's?

I'm looking to buy a FHC, but want one of the earlier one's with the short rear tail. Does anyone know how many they made with the short rear end and in what year did they change over to the longer rear tail design?

118 made if I recall rightly. First cars appeared in late '79 and the restyled shell was introduced in 1981.

My car (Chassis 36) was (last I heard) tucked away in a corner at Hexham Horseless; it was part-converted to a race car after I sold it, not sure what you'd need to undo but that was a basically sound Series 1 with an uncrashed shell (and a bloody expensive respray)... make 'em a daft offer

I have a series 1 FHC .. by far the pretiest shape and trueist to the original concept before the 80s excesses of chav skirts and spoilers took hold.
