clutch slip

Since getting my 350i last october on three different occasions the clutch has started to slip it has always been when on a good run & everthing is warm...nothing overheating. it always happens when using the torque from the engine. If I try to make it slip it wont & pulls fine. Ive bled it through & although this has improved the gear change its made no difference.any suggestions?

Are the fluid pipe runs too close to the exhaust??

I guess you wait until it slips more often and get the clutch changed..

When accelerating enthusiastically from standstill, mine takes half a second to a second to settle when I hook second (but I do tend to grab the car by the scruff of the neck, so to speak), and I suspect this is wheelspin, cos it wont do it mid-gear: only on changing up as I lift the clutch and dump the floor again.

If this is what youre getting, I expect its wheelspin. If the clutch was complaining, the car would STINK!

I got the clutch a little hot at London Thunder, and the smell was harrowing to say the least when halfway up Whitehall!

P.S. the other giveaway is the back of the car squirmimg slightly as the slipper locks it up and makes both wheels spin.

First time I got my 350 running probably after I first bought it (major engine work, RP1 cam etc) I thought I had clutch slip - very frustrating, however turned out to be the first time I had drive a v8 wedge in the wet.......
