Hi,

I'm trying to remove the whole of the stepper motor to give it a clean, as I am having some idling problems. However, when I remove the 2 screws, only a portion of the system comes out?

Thanxs for any advice.

you don't have a stepper motor.

What is the unit on the side of the plenum with 2 screws holding it in place, & wires connected to it?

think it is an air valve but not a stepper motor, only the hotwires have stepper motors

That has 3 screws, doesn't it?

Except my one. Mine has four!

Is it one of these you've got Neil?
If so it's not a stepper it's an over run valve...won't affect your idling I don't think.

Or are you talking about this?

This is the throttle position sensor. Again, won't affect your idle thumbup
