What would you do?

Right, to cut a long story short my car is still sat doing nothing and I simply can't afford to put it on the road, let alone do all the cosmetics that are needed to tidy it up. The plan was to MOT and TAX it for May but I was broke so it shifted back a month to June, even more broke. I don't think the MOT will be a major problem but it's starting to show it's age and is in need of a good bit of TLC which is where I'm really going to fall down I really can't see the finances changing this year so do I.
a) Hang on to it in the hope that a windfall comes my way or things have changed next year (unlikely).
b) Get it MOT'd, TAX'd and quickly spruced up in the hope of a quick sale.
c) Try to find someone who'd give it the love and respect it deserves (and used to get) and sell it at 'the right price'.
The car has survived 11 years in my hands. The first 6 years were batchelor style no expense spared ownership but the last 5 years (since I've had a mortgage) have taken their toll. It's heartbreaking to see what was/is my pride and joy getting tatty and although I'd love to go option a) I fear that it'll end up sitting until it gets towed away.
Option b) would be best from a financial angle, I know a few garage folks that could 'spruce' it up but the car doesn't really own me anything, it's never been fixed up on the cheap before and would somehow feel cruel.
Option c) would actually be my prefered option but is easier said than done. I know plenty of people who would take it off me for a song but would then just go ahead and do option b). I'm not sure that I'd want to sell it to them either as they're all local and the sight/sound of MY TVR being driven locally by someone else would be hard to take.
There is always option d) which is get rid of the Mrs, sell the house, move back in with the parents and use the house profits to get the car back as new. The problem is that I'd rather not have my manhood chopped off with a rusty blade so that really may not be an option.
So, as folks who willunderstand how much I love 'that piece of fibreglass', in the same sticky situation..... What would you do?

I would try to hang onto it , even if its a non runner for a while .If you give it up you will definately come to regret it. Especially as you have had it for so long, even a replacement later on will not seem the same, with these things they tend to get under your skin as you know.If you can hang on , put it away and wait no matter how long it takes.The family,house and all that come first we all know but the wedge will keep,after all it is plastic lol.
Thanks for the replies. I 'think' they're the sort I was hoping for. Selling to someone local is almost out of the question. I'd hate to think that I'd not see the car again but to see it roaring about where I live would be pure torment. Andy I'll try to get some pics of the spoiler sorted although it may not be until the weekend as it'll need cleaning first (sorry, it just has to be that way). The traditionalists will tell you off for having those thoughts, but mine came out of the factory with it and I think it looks great (shhhhhh, keep that bit quiet 
).
).If you can keep it away from humidity (best is indoors), put it on axle stands and warm the engine up every now and then (like every 3-4 weeks) with revs above 1500rpm to not wear out the camshaft. Is the chassis fine? Probably it is if reading about the first years of ownership, then: KEEP IT.
It is not in the way hopefully? I have had several cars over the years that were not used every year, and being in the way is pushing to be able to hang on to them.
