Just seen this car on ebay. Not heard of "Dave Jenkins - TVR Specialist in Kent", but then I am new to the world of TVRs!! Anyone know anything about him?

Hi all, I have just come across this thread and had a read. Quite interesting really as I sold the car 3 years back to a guy from way up north, odd that its found its way back down here.
I dont know who it is claiming that I am a TVR "specialist", certainly not me. I have spent some 30 years in the motor trade, feel free to check my profile, no association with TVR other than owning this car and a few others. I built a 3.9 to the spec listed although never claimed it to be a TVR 390i,SE or anything other than a 350i with a 3.9 engine. It was done purely for me, by me.
Yes, it was a good car when I sold it. Yes, I spoke to the guy who bought it from me, he had no complaints. No gearbox issues when I sold it.

Hi everyone, Just to clarify a few points, Yes the car is mine, yes I bought it a couple weeks ago, and NO there is nothing sinister wrong with my car, The gearbox is as many Rover gearboxes, a little tricky until warm, in second only. Yes its a shame im selling it already, but this is due to the fact that I have to be man enough to admit that couldnt aford to spend £5k, at this present time. I have a small business which needs investment (quickly), and that is the only reason. This car has a large history file, and amongst it is a reference to the new 3.9 unit being fitted by David Jenkins. It says TVR Specialist, (not my words). I dont know David Jenkins, so I guess I shouldve done some homework first, but i was just writing what It says about the new engine. I hope that has put some of the speculation to bed chaps, one thing is for sure, I LOVE THIS CAR, its great, this is a financial mistake nothing else.
Having said that if she does not sell, Im sure I will get over this blip, and keep the car. Lastly, its not Cream OKAY, its (Ford) Champange was used on mark 1 fiestas, remember them. (yuk).
So no more tittle tattle please guys, give me a break and all that.

THANKS FOR THE LINK EESBAD, IF YOU TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT THE LISTING, YOU WILL SEE THAT I DONT ACTUALLY REFER TO mR JENKINS AS A "TVR SOPECIAIST" ANYWAY. Seems to be doing quite well on the auction - perhaps I should ask for commission??!!

I am a new TVR owner. In Kent. I saw this ad, which still refers to "Dave Jenkins TVR man here in Kent". That, to me, said that he is: 1) a man, and 2) something more than an owner of TVRs... I wasn't inferring anything - I was genuinely interested in seeing if there was somewhere local I could take my new wedge to, if I needed. Nothing sinister or malicious!! A simple misunderstanding of your wording.
Older cars (especially TVRs!) need a little more care, attention and tlc than other cars, and any help - especially local - is good to know about. That's all my original question asked
Anyway, I have now found a local mechanic who is experienced with TVRs old and new. Hurrah!
