350i clutch worn?

i've recently bought a 1985 Wedge with just 30,000 miles on it from new. The clutch bites near the top of the pedal movement, is this normal or is it on its way out? It doesn't seem to slip or judder etc? also is it adjustable?

It is an hydraulic system that operates the clutch and should be 'self-adjusting'. Bleeding/changing fluid could help probably. And normally you will find that full throttle in higher gears and increased revs indicate a first indication of a worn clutch....

I would first bleed and if necessary change the fluid. And take it from there. Next step is to overhaul the master and slave cylinder.
