Oh I dunno, £3250 would be about right given the current market for wedges
A 420 SE could just about have been bought on a B plate. It appears to have standard 3.5 injectors (same as most 390SEs in fact). I'd be wanting to know the engine number before I went near it though.
Registered 4 September 1986 according to posted specification (and DVLA), so a "B" plate (older) could be applied. In the photographs the bonnet and body panels show none of the classic signs of a SEAC (which 'spec' the seller claims it to be registered as ... Wyn's comment above noted

). Now, IIRC, TVR announced the 420SEAC Motor Show in October 1986, with the first production car some five months before then, so it could be "SEAC spec" ... whatever that was at the time. The rear under-spoiler appears to be integral with the bumper (again, introduced around the '86 Motor Show?). The bonnet appears to have no vents (I thought all Wedges post early '85 had them ... but there might have been the odd, old one floating around the factory in mid-'86). There doesn't appear to be a lip at the bottom of the air-dam. I too would want to check out the engine number and the VIN - StreakyEdited by streaky on Sunday 24th June 07:02

That's not a 420 SEAC. Its way too old, I don't think even the 400's were out then. Looks more like a tarted up 350i. It looks the same as my 1988 350i, even with the same rear spoiler. The spoiler is a Zender item and this is only the 2nd other car I've seen fitted with it. My bonnet, and most other 350i's I've seen, have no vents. Maybe vents were for 390's and 400's?
Hmmm... it was late when I posted, should have looked closer. Yes, it has a S2 390SE front spoiler, couldn't have had that in '86 as they didn't appear till late '87 at the earliest - but we'll allow hm a retrofit: my car's also had a new front spoiler albeit the correct one.
I think that rear bumper and spoiler are separate, or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself that I can see the spoiler brackets.
Also... I wish to bu99ery people would STOP USING ALL CAPS AND A HUGE FONT - it isn't any more likely to make me buy your car
